About

The Little Humbug Creek Bridge, located on U.S. 26,  was more than 60 years old. The bridge was deteriorating and its foundation was in poor condition. Bridge Picture

We replaced the existing bridge with a new single span bridge.

As part of this project, we :

  • Replaced the bridge in two stages, building half the bridge at a time.

  • Replaced guardrail.

  • Paved and applied new striping to the bridge surface.

By closing one lane at a time, we were able to complete the project faster, avoiding significant costs and limiting impacts to the Siuslaw National Rainforest.
